Forces, Non contact, Contact Forces - Coggle Diagram
Forces
-
-
-
- You hit a ball with a bat. What factors will influence how far the ball will go?
-
-
-
-
-
- What mechanical systems use a push force?
-
- Can a push force ever be a non-contact force? If so, when?
No, unless if the wind pushes the object.
-
- Can you convert a push force into a pull force?
No, because if the push force is still moving it wont change.
- Can a pull force ever be a non-contact force? If so, when?
-
- What mechanical systems use a pull force?
-
-
- Can you convert a push force into a twist force?
Yes, because you a pushing when twisting the object.
- What mechanical systems use a twist force?
-
-
-
Twist
A twisting force is where an object is being pulled opposite ways that make the object twist one way and another
-
-
-
-
pull
-
If you pull something that can move, it will move towards the object towards it
-
If pulled, the object will move if the force that is being applied is strong than the object that is being pulled by
-
Normal
If something is on a table like a pencil case, it will stay on the table because gravity is pulling it down but, the normal force is pushing it up.
A dinner plate on a table is being pulled down by gravity but is being pushed up with the right amount of force so the plate stays on the table.
A tissue box on the top of a fridge will stay there because it is being pulled down but is also being pulled up by the fridge
-
Gravity
-
-
It could be if a book is on an angle and a tennis ball is released down it, the ball will move down the book because gravity is pulling it down
-
-
If the distance from the planet to the sun is further the force will be less and weaker. After though, the planet will reach the sun and they will get into an orbit with each other.
- What happens when the sun and the planet are further apart?
-
- How does the mass of the sun and the planet affect their motion?
-
- Now try the sun without the red g. What difference does this make?
After 30 seconds the sun starts to move away from the planet, but the planet wants to get to the sun
Electrostatic
-
Electrostatic force is where you rub something and then it will be pushed or pulled up to the surface of the object.

Magnetism
-
Magnetism is used for transport with, magnet trains are where a South and South or North and North magnet are put together. The magnets cant go anywhere so they go forward and the train goes really fast by the magnets.
