Forces
contact Forces
Pull
-
Pull force is a contact force that means something you are pulling towards you. For example pulling a wagon with things in it is pulling. Example down below shows a boy pulling a wagon full of puppies.
Push
-
Pushing something away from yourself. Push is a contact force that makes a object move away from yourself. this force can also become a non contact force because of gravity. Gravity can push the object a certain way
-
Normal
Normal force is a force that stops object falling through the floor or another object. If we didn't have normal force then me wouldn't be standing here. Down below there is a example of normal force.
-
Twist
-
Twist is a force by moving or twisting a object a certain way. An example is twisting a metal cap on a pickle jar.
Friction
-
Friction is a type of force that is from two objects either sliding or trying to slide. in example is moving a box across the carpet but friction makes this difficult. there is a picture down below showing a example of friction.
Non contact Forces
Magnetism
-
Magnets are made of iron. magnets work like pushing or pulling but actually doesn't need any contact.
Gravity
-
Gravity is a type of force which is between two objects or masses, partials etc... Gravity is also pulling us down to stay on earth. In space there is no gravity and you will be floating around with no control.
Electrostatic
-
There is static energy when there is a build up of Electrons on a wall something else, giving it some sort of an electric charge. Electrons are attracted to electricity with less electrons so they can move a object with less electrons.
