normal force
-
Normal force is the force that counters gravity while the object is on a surface that can withstand it's weight so the force becomes balanced and the object doesn't move
-
Example: standing on the floor boards. The floor boards create an even force which means you don't fall towards the core of the earth.
friction
friction is the force between two surfaces sliding, or trying to slide across each other. friction always works oppositely to the way your pushing/pulling.

Non-Contact
gravity
-
The reason when you jump the earth doesn't move towards you is that the earth has much more mass meaning that it will barely moves at all because the formula for gravity is distance times mass.
-
magnetism
-
Magnetism is the force that the magnetic object has to. they can pull objects towards them if said objects are magnetic. Only specific objects are magnetic. Magnets have a North and a South side. When you try to put two of the same sides together they repel but opposite sides attract.

electrostatic
Electrostatic force is a non-contact force that can either attract(pull) or repel (push). Sometimes this is called static electricity. It is caused by objects that are electrically charged exerting a force on each other.
-
-
When two objects are rubbed together the friction can cause the negative particles from one object to stick to the other.
