People are making major changes to their lives which from surveys show that these changes are already affecting mental health.
Lack of intervention may cause a dramatic increase in mental health conditions (such as depression) if action isn't taken quickly
Home should be the safest place
In some cases, abusers are using the virus as a way to exploit their victims and control them.
The lock down prevents the abused from being able to seek help.
Some support shelters are at full capacity and have had to reduce their numbers due to social distancing so people cannot seek help from the usual support system
The risk of domestic violence has risen.
Many are finding ways to cope with Covid-19
People are starting to worry less about the situation.
People are able to entertain themselves while everyone is indoors.
People are being resilient to the pandemic
People with mental health issues may suffer the worst but most will be fine.
This pandemic helps highlight the deficiencies in the system that is currently in place.
The pandemic will help us better prepare a humane system in which more people will be able to weather unscathed.
There are those that will suffer in the crisis without any backup plans to protect them.
