Friction is when there is a resistance against an object. This occurs when two objects rub together.

Push is when you apply a force against an object to make it move away from you

Twisting is when you apply a rotational force to an object

Eg. Twisting a bottle cap of a water bottle

Pull is when you apply the opposite force to push and you bring the object closer to you

Eg. Pushing a door open or pushing a car door shut

Eg. Pulling a door shut or pulling a door open

Eg. Sliding a pencil case across a table

Balancing Forces

A balanced force is when two equal forces are acting upon each other so that means the object will stay at rest or if it was moving before hand the object will stay in motion

Unbalanced Forces

An unbalanced force is when two forces are acting upon each other only one force is bigger then the other so that the object the forces are being applied to will start to move forward or if the bigger force is being applied the other side it will start to move backward

Eg. If your pushing on a wall the wall is not moving there is a normal force pushing back so you don't move the wall

The normal force is a force the pushes/applies another force of equal balance back on anything that you apply force to.

Observation: Adding the mass onto the friction blocks increases the newtons.

Gravity is the force that brings 2 things together the bigger the object the faster it is pulled in and vice versa.

Eg. The reason we stay on the ground is because of gravity. The two objects "Earth" and "Human" are attracted together.

If you rub to objects together the friction will make the objects hotter
