variability in hypoxia sensing and response pathways in Prakriti…
variability in hypoxia sensing and response pathways in Prakriti specific cellular models derived from healthy individuals
Introduction
-
-
-
How Prakriti specific cellular model allow us to reveal the underlying differences in healthy individuals itself, which may not be feasible when we look it as a whole.
Prakriti specific cellular model will shows contrasting features in the broad spectrum of cellular features
-
But when we observe hypoxia response without Prakriti or any other stratification method, we might loose several molecular players which has important role in its sensing and response pathways
Our lab studies
Previous studies
EGLN1-HIF1a axis was observed in Prakriti specific manner (Kapha-Pitta) towards hypoxia responsiveness
-
-
Genetic link between EGLN1 and VWF in a Prakriti specific manner which could modulate the thrombosis / bleeding susceptibility and outcomes of hypoxia
Current Study
We are trying to find molecular correlates to study inter-individual variability with response to hypoxia sensing and its response pathways
Methodology
-
-
-
-
-
Functional validation of identified genes using Prakriti derived iPSCs lines and genome editing tools
