DMEx - Coggle Diagram
DMEx
When to do Dmex
Can't go back more than 14 months
Customer has given readings that could be much lower than COS read
Cannot open a dispute, sometimes because the DC struggles to establish the correct reading history, so will need to put in a new meter to get a correct starting reading
Customers don't give us readings
We do have the readings but they are shown as wrong
We do have readings but they are not validated
Solutions:
Always check meter details
Search the flows D149 and D150
What is a DMEX?
When you pretend to install a meter with exactly the same MTDs to get a new opening reading.
What is a CMEX?
Exactly the same as a DMEX but change the serial numbers.
Smart DMEX?
Often used because day and night readings are mixed up
Scenario 2:
2 rate meter now shows as 1 rate meter
Old supplier won’t accept dispute as they have always billed to the total but this would cause the d86 to be different to first smart meter reading
Stops night reading and not the other one, there will be nothing in that column. The second reading will be that reading plus the last reading shown on the night rate.
make sure to get and validate readings
Meter readings will likely be rejected (D10s). Might require DMEx/CMEx, to allow future reads to be validated
