however having kids does not affect men's salaries

Why men need to be involved in fight against gender inequality
also have a stake, affects them too, pressured to "man up" "take it like a man"
group with collectively more power, influence and capital
individual attitudes and beliefs need to be reformed but there needs ti be concrete, physical tangible change in the form of accommodations made in the workplace educational institutions and communities
how men benefit from gender equality
reforming traditional ideas abt gender allows us to move away from real or implied threat of violence
gender inequality restricts individual expression, contributes to economic inequality, limits men and women's role in hhld and communities

Hatred of men (increasing widespread perception & all-encompassing generalisation)
Irrational
self-defined man hating women turned towards hating men as a response to gender equality, perpetuating the idea that is logical to hate men
however, its a real strand of rising consciousness
usually one is hating ppl who subscribe to an ideology, a choice that they've made
hating men is not hating an idea or an abhorrent form of behaviour( thus it is irrational)
rationale for hating men
viewed as collectively guilty for the oppression of women
whatever they say/do tainted by their place in the power hierarchy and their implicit desire to maintain power, imbued with patriarchal values and language
why it is a problem
hate begets hate
sex differences are biological and men and women are psychologically similar
counterproductive
unfocused, inappropriate, overgeneralised hatred produce less desirable results→resentment→sense of injustice
-virtue signalling(why its so addictive)
strangles all understanding
→ result in a vicious cycle of inter-gender antagonism
