Hunger Games in relation to dystopias
The Hunger Games is a dystopian text because it is set in a world that is ending, citizens are forced to risk their lives and are convinced that it's to save their districts.
They are also under surveillance and have time limits for things. They are poor and have to hunt for food. They are forced to trade things for food as they have no money.
The Hunger Games is set in a dystopian setting called Panem. Each year from each of the 12 districts, a boy and a girl between the ages of 12 to 18 years are picked at random to fight and compete in the hunger games.
