There are different approaches to interpretation. These are noted as ideological, formalist, realist, and contextualist. Ideological aims to identify context, implicitly, and the attitude the film takes. Formalist looks at the structure and the form. Realist, look at the film as a form of reality and relates things to real life. Last, contextualist look at the film as a part of something broader. Making connections to society on a larger scale. Is there a deeper or related meaning to it?
