1.to study whether TIAM2S regulates the serotonergic axis and participates in the progression of various human diseases.

  1. The current subproject is designed to characterize the mechanism and role of TIAM2S- mediated chronic inflammation in colon cancer tumorigenesis.
  2. Specific aim 1 will decipher the mechanism of TIAM2S-mediated chronic inflammation. Specific aim 2 will investigate the regulation of TIAM2S
    the expression on serotonin homeostasis.
  3. Finally, we will address the role of TIAM2S in linking chronic inflammation and colon tumorigenesis using transgenic mice as well as clinical colon cancer specimen.
