1.to study whether TIAM2S regulates the serotonergic axis and participates in the progression of various human diseases.
- The current subproject is designed to characterize the mechanism and role of TIAM2S- mediated chronic inflammation in colon cancer tumorigenesis.
- Specific aim 1 will decipher the mechanism of TIAM2S-mediated chronic inflammation. Specific aim 2 will investigate the regulation of TIAM2S
the expression on serotonin homeostasis. - Finally, we will address the role of TIAM2S in linking chronic inflammation and colon tumorigenesis using transgenic mice as well as clinical colon cancer specimen.
