Currently exploring High River museum document that loosely details Indigenous heritage in HR. Some fun facts about the word Spitzee, and the significance of the "Highwood" tree throughout HR Indigenous peoples/culture. Would like to incorporate some specific history/knowledge into some PE modules (hiking, trail running, outdoor games, etc.) I feel we need to educate students on the local Indigenous culture that is woven in our everyday lives, without knowing the significance/impacts.
