Physical anthropolgy
studies the physical characteristics of humans through the fossils
found and the distinctive features of contemporary groups
Branches: primatology, human paleontology, forensic anthropology, and population genetics
Anthropological linguistics
It studies the diversity of languages spoken by the existing human groups.
attempts to reconstruct the history of their origin,
tries to discover the role of the relationship between language and the development of the groups that speak it.
Branches: historical linguistics, descriptive linguistics and sociolinguistics
Cultural anthropology
studies human being through their culture: customs, myths, beliefs, norms and values that guide and standardize their behavior as a member of a social group.
