Who were bourbons
The king Carlos II of Spain was very sick and deformed. He can´t have children, he choose Philip V to rule Spain. Phililp V started the bourbon reforms in the spanish colonies.
The bourbons were one of the most important ruling families of Europe, they all descend from Louis I. This family gave Europe kings for France (1589-1792), Spain (1700-1808) and Italy
The reforms started with Philip V, but were mainly done by Carlos III, the third bourbon ruling after Philip V
