Global Warming
Effects
Water Shortages
As temperatures increase, the need for water is also increased making water hard to find at some point.
-
-
Rising Sea Levels
As temperatures increase, snow and ice melt easier making water levels increase drastically.
Severe Droughts
Since temperature increases, the moisture in the air starts
to decrease, making plants harder to live.
Early Snow Melt
Since temperature increases, the speed of how ice/snow
melt increase too
Severe Heat Waves
As temperatures increase, Heat waves start to happen where the daily maximum temperature exceeds the average maximum temperature
Causes
Burning Fossil Fuels(Coal, oil, gas)
Burning coal, oil and gas produces carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide.
-
Agriculture and Farming
Livestock like cows and sheeps produce large amounts of methane which is a greenhouse gas when they digest their food.
-
Flourinated gases .
These gases produce a very strong warming effect. These gases can stay in the atmosphere for centuries.
