During Ramadan, Muslims fast, abstain from pleasures and pray to become closer to God.
When is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar.
Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar based on the cycles of the moon.
Why do muslims fast?
Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them to practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, this is why they fast.

What happens if you break your fast during Ramadan?
If you deliberately miss or break a fast during Ramadan, you must pay penance or 'kaffarah'. To make up for it, you must continually fast for 60 days.
What do you have to do before fasting?
Before fasting, you must have something called "Suhoor" which is a meal before you fast.
When and how do you break your fast?
You break your fast once the Athan of "Maghreb" starts
To break your fast you can eat a date or just can eat anything or drink anything but it must be halal.
What happens after the 30 days of Ramadan?
After the 30 days of Ramadan, we have Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Fitr is to celebrate what good deeds we have done in Ramadan
