- - - - 2b) Parents may request kids to be evaluated.
  - - - 3bi) Parents have the right to take their child for an Independent Educational Evaluation and ask the school system to pay for this IEE.
    - - 4a) Parents may ask for a hearing to challenge eligibility decision.
      - 5) If found eligible for services:
        
        5a) Child is "child with a disability" under IDEA and is eligible for special education and related services.
        
        5ai) Within 30 calendar days after determination of eligibility, an IEP must be written for the child by the IEP team.
        
        6) The school system schedules and conducts the IEP meeting with all relevant parties in the IEP team including relevant experts, parents, and the child (where appropriate).
        
        7) The IEP meeting is held and the IEP is written.
        
        7a) Parents give consent for the special education in the written IEP
