Types of Inverter
HYBRID INVERTER- This inverter is also known as a multi-mode inverter and allows plugging batteries into the solar power system
BATTERY INVERTER- These inverters handle power between the grid & the array while charging the batteries, and they monitor the status of battery & controls how they are charged.
CENTRAL INVERTER- Central inverters are for applications such as large arrays installed on buildings, industrial facilities as well as field installations – they are basically just a very large string inverter.
MICRO- INVERTER -Its role is to convert the DC electricity produced by a single solar panel. It optimize each solar panel individually
STRING INVERTER - A string inverter is the type most commonly used in home and commercial solar power systems.

Sizing of Inverter
1. Power Rating Inverters have a peak power rating, can run only within a short period of time. To be safe, you have to buy inverter three times of power than your house load needs.
2. Battery bank voltage Eg. Small inverter provides up to 3kW of power, using 12V. Larger inverter require higher voltage
- Waveform A low cost inverter provides a modified sine wave, a more expensive provides a pure sine wave. With modified SW affects some electrical appliances.
