HOW TO MAKE A GOOD PRESENTATION
1. CREATE THE STRUCTURE THAT IS EASY TO FOLLOW
B - hit them with the facts, quotes and evidences to back up your points
C - conclusion is where you loop original statement and give the audience advises how they can put into the practice your lesson
A - introduction should sum up what are you going to talk about and why it's useful for audience
D - no more than 10 slides in total; your presentation can be 30 minutes long but by that time you are talking so that they can digest the on-screen messages
2. LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF THE COPY ON EACH SLIDE
A - no more than six words per slide (less is really more)
B - think "bite-size" information, video is great way to learn and research :)
3. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS
B - consistent font looks more professional; don't switch between size and fonts
C - format for perfection; make sure text is aligned and neat
A - colors - use them wisely; stick on one or two (not counting black and white)
4. POLISH SEVERAL TIMES
B - edit ruthlessly; pair your message down to the bare essential - keep going :)
A - start messy; discover ideas and connections that you didn't see before
C- get someone else to look at it; let that be a trusted mentor, colleague or sibling that will review your work
5. HAVE A STRONG OPENING
B - ask qestions; don't be afraid to ask rethorical questions
C - get to know your audience; inset a relevant metaphor or popular reference (I highly reccomend Shakespeare ;)
A - be different ; tell an unexpected story about your researches of work
8. FOCUS ON AUDIENCE VALUE
B - use a pause while talking; say it slowly and leave a pause at the end - silence will make it meaningful
C - make your message sing; move your audience towards change!
A - leave your audience with an emotional impression; piece of video with moving music or a line from a song or poem you'll end on high
6. BE GENUINE
B - mess up ; it's not forbideen or wrong, don't be afraid of that even the best speakers mess up
C - open up to people; speak your truth and dare to feel a little uncomfortable as you share a meaningful story
A - use humor ; it can break down any barriers, make you more likeable and memorable
7. HAVE A PLAN
B - use a remote; it will help you face the audience, remote is essential in order to pause your presentation so you have time to be spontaneous
A - havea practice run - through; make sure your message make sense ( you can try recording yourself for the review)
C - have a backup plan; it will help you soothe your nerves and allows you more control
D - use a timer; put your phone on airplane mode so you make sure you're not going overtime
