Primitivism
Africans seems, to him, a classless society. He sees Africans as 'authentic' and Europeans 'puppets' (Kalaidjian) and generalises them to give solidity to his own ideal; as Fabian states, 'Primitive, being essentially a temporal concept, is a category, not an object, of Western thought.’’
