WHAT IS TRADE UNION?
Trade Union (TU) is known as an independent association or combination of a group of employees as a voice to regulate relations or can be understand as voice that organize relationships between employees and employers for purpose
TRADE UNION OBJECTIVE :
To promote the industrial, social and intellectual interest of members.
To obtain and maintain for its members just and proper rates of remuneration, security of employment, and reasonable hours, and conditions of works.
To promote the material, social, and educational welfare of the members.
To promote legislation affecting the interests of the members in particular or treat unionists in general.

TYPES OF UNION

EMPLOYERS' UNION:
Examples:
- Malayan Agriculture Producers’ Association (MAPA)
- Malayan Commercial Bank’s Association (MCBA)
- Association of Insurance Employers (AIE)
PUBLIC SECTORS EMPLOYEES UNION:
- Consist of the civil service, the statutory bodies and the local authorities.
- TUA provides that workers in the public sector can only form and join unions whose members are in the same ministry, department or occupation.
- EXAMPLE :
- National Union of the Teaching
- Profession Malayan Nurses Union
- Malayan Technical Services Union
- Dental Technician Union
