- - - - Regions of Uterine Tube: Infundibulun- open end is funnel-shaped not directly connect to ovary. Fimbriae- finger-like projections at the distal end that draws the ovum into the uterine tube.
    - - Region of Uterus: Body- main portion, Fundus- area where uterine tube enters, Cervix- narrow outlet that protrudes into the vagina or opening into uterus.
      - Walls of Uterus: Endometrium- inner layer- allows for implantation of a fertilized egg, slough off if no pregnancy occurs during menses. Myometrium:- middle layer- of smooth muscle. Perimetrium:- outer visceral peritoneum (covering of abdominal organs).
  - - - each lobule contains one to four seminiferous tubules
      - tightly coiled structures
      - Sertoli cells: provide nutrients and supportive function
      - Anatomy of Sperm
        
        Arosome: anterior portion of head, contains enzyme.
        
        Midpiece: contains Mitochondria that provides energy.
        
        Flagella: only human cell with a tail, propels spermatozoa.
        
        Head: contains nucleus with DNA inside.
- - - - Cervical cancer begins in the cervix, which is the lower, narrow end of the uterus.
      - Ovarian cancer begins in the ovaries, which are located on each side of the uterus.
      - Uterine cancer begins in the uterus, the pear-shaped organ in a woman’s pelvis where the baby grows when a woman is pregnant.
      - Vaginal cancer begins in the vagina, which is the hollow, tube-like channel between the bottom of the uterus and the outside of the body.
      - Vulvar cancer begins in the vulva, the outer part of the female genital organs.
