Effect on my computer: a Trojan is designed to damage, disrupt, steal, or in general do harmful action on your data or network. ... Once installed, a Trojan can perform the action it was designed for.
Happen when: Trojan Horse or Trojan Virus can have access to your computer backdoor which will eventually give the access of the computer to the hacker.

Worms
Effect on my computer is: they let all kind of other harm in the internet to have access with your computer.
Happens when: computer worms could arrive as attachments in spam emails. Once opened, these files could provide a link to a malicious website or automatically download the computer worm.
Prevention: update all system and software regularly. Install a legit powerful anti virus and run regular scan on your computer.
Viruses
Happens when: you download file online like free music or movie, or you just simply receive n email that you are interest in and out of your curiosity you open it and the viruses got into your computer.
Effect on my computer is: they will have all the access to all the information that your PC possibly have.
Prevention
Install Anti-Virus/Malware Software.
Keep Your Anti-Virus Software Up to Date.

Pharming is when a hacker directs an internet user to a fake website instead of a legitimate one. These fake sites can capture a victim's confidential information, including usernames, passwords, and credit card data, or install malware on their computer.
Example: A user may create a web page that appears to be for a specific bank, requesting a username and password for login.
Phishing
Example: Urgent Request, Part time work assistant needed, Robocalls.
Phishing is the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by disguising oneself as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
How to prevent
Phishing: avoid clicking pop up ad. Or if they sent you an email and said that they are from a company, check for typo and how professional the legitimacy of the email.
