Brackets (())
It is used to separate information from the sentence or to specify an information for example: Jack (my brother) ate the cake.
Colon
colons can be used in two ways either to introduce a list or start a quotation for example:The cake needs:sugar,eggs,milk and flour
Comma (,)
A comma is basically a small break in a sentence and it can also be used to separate two or more words in a row for example: Me, my friend and my dog went for a hike.

Exclamation mark (!)
It is basically a replacement for a full stop when expressing strong emotions for example: I got full marks in the exam!
Full stop (.)
Full stop, its basically used to end a sentence or a paragraph for example: There is a cat in the hat.
Semi-colon
It indicates a pause between two main clauses or acts as a comma for lists that are made up from phrases for example: Dracula knocked on the door; no one answered.
Inverted comma
Double (speech marks ") its basically used for quoting or writing speech for example: Majid said:"I like cake".
Single (') used to specify where direct speech starts and ends for example: what does 'angle shot' mean?
