“Show” or “Bloody Show” - the few drops of blood or a pinkish stain that occurs when the mucus that plugs the uterus during pregnancy dissolves. (Could be days or weeks still before birth)
“Water Breaks” - the membrane, or amniotic sac, holding the amniotic fluid is broken. This could be a trickle or gush of fluid. (GO TO HOSPITAL)
Contractions - the tightening and releasing of the uterus. ( Go to hospital when they are consistently 5 minutes apart and getting stronger.)

Contractions end with light exercise, or changing your activity. (Example: woman was walking, then sits down and they stop)

Premature Labor:

Premature, or preterm labor occurs when the fetus has been developing in the womb for 37 weeks or less.
