DIFFERENT TYPES OF NON-FICTION
AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Usually written in past tenses
Written by the person whose life is being describes (first person)
It well contain a lot of feelings and thoughts
The content and style is generally extended to be of interest to a wide range pf people and groups
A lot of details, which make situations, setting and characters more vivid
include anecdotes
Can make great use of irony, specially dramatic irony
Use of register, which tends not to be too formal
NEWS REPORT
Headline: title of the report. It should capture a reader`s attention.
Placeline: events described in the news report have taken place.
Byline: name of the person or people who has written the news report.
Lead paragraph: first paragraph of the news report, which introduces the newsworthy event that has taken place.
Body paragraph: explaning in greater detail HOW and WHY the event took place.
Images: are almost always accompanied by an image.
Quotations: direct quotes from eyewitnesses, or from people directly involved in some way with the event. Help the reader a greater sense of understanding what and who actually happend at the time
BIOGRAPHY

Favourable of unfavourable
Authorized (publish with the permission of the subject) or unauthorized (publish without the approval of the subject)
Someone`s life, should retell this using a lot of factual content.
It is written by someone other than the subject (third person)
It is written mostly in past tense.
Chronological order, usually starts with childhood
Includes imformation about family members
Less access to feelings, thoughts, and motivations.
