To direct contact with allergen to ocular phase

There's an IgE mediated hypersensitivity and
And T cell involvement in the process
Atopic keratoconjuctivitis appears to be combination
Of dilayed type and immediate hypersensitivity
To an ocular allergen exposure
Causing damage to the epithelial tissue
And allow deep exposure to allergens
To provide immunological responce
Nursing management
Discourage rubbing of eyes
Encourage eye bath for bathing eyes
Administer anti-allergen drops
Avoid the cause of alergy
Treatment
Anti histamines
Steroid eye drops
Steroid injections
Cromolyn sodium 4% eye drops
Lodoxamide 0,1% eye drops
Health education
Close windows when the pollen count is high
Keep your home dust free
Use indoor air purifier
Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals
