Flag:
The New York state flag is made up of the state coat of arms on a dark blue background. It represents two supports:
On the left, Liberty with a revolutionary Phrygian cap raised by a pole.
On the right, however, we find the goddess of justice with blindfolded eyes, a balance and a sword.
In the center, an eagle sits above a globe, while the ships in the background represent domestic and foreign trade, both of which are vital for the initial development of New York.
The borders are to the north Ontario and Québec of Canada, to the south-west Pennsylvania, to the south New Jersey and Atlantic Ocean and to the east Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont.
The nickname is Empire State.
The Statehood is July 26, 1788
