Seed Dispersal is the spread of seeds away from the parent plant. As seeds have limited ways to move, they mostly rely on other biotic and abiotic factors to disperse. Examples of factors would be birds, wind, water, etc.

Rooting of seeds is one of the key process in seed dispersal or even in seed germination. Rooting of seeds is a key process as by which a plant expand. Rooting of the seed can happen near the parent plant or distant places. Rooting of seeds happens in many different ways. Different kind of agents use different kinds of methods to root the seeds.
There are various reasons why there is a need for Seed Dispersal. If a seed starts growing too close to a parent plant, then its growth could be hampered due to lack of nutrients, water and sunlight.
