Reflection :
I've always thought that planing a lesson is one of the biggest challenges that we as future teachers have to confront when we work in a class. However, this reading help me to clarify many questions I have in regards to planning a lesson. One of the aspects that I learned from this reading is the importance of applying the three elements in class; ESA (engagement, study and activation). If you keep these three elements in mind while planing a lesson and its execution, your lesson's plan will be a success. Moreover, the coherence and variety that there has to be in class is so important because this two elements make students feel interested and make connections with previous knowledge in what the teacher is bringing for today's lesson. I really like this reading and I hope to get more from this book where the reading is taken from. :unlock:
1) Who exactly are the students for this activity? 2) What do we want to do and why? 3) How long will it take? 4) How does it work? 5) What will be needed? 6) What might go wrong? 7) How will it fit in with what comes before and after it? :
1) Description of the students. 2) Aims and objectives. 3) Procedures. 4) Anticipated problems. 5) Material/ Extra activities. 6) Material to be used in the lesson.
