They are categorized by the four training and licensure levels such as: EMR, EMT. AEMT and Paramedic.

Emergency Medical Responder:The emergency medical system includes immediate care by using emergency medical responders such as law enforcement officers firefighters, Park Rangers, ski patrollers and other organized rescuers who often arrive at the scene before the ambulance and the EMTs. EMR training provides these people with the skills necessary to initiate immediate care on providing immediate BLS and urgent care with limited equipment.
