Filing heart chambers
Mid to late diastole: blood flows from the atria into the ventricles, then atria contract to squeeze remaining blood into ventricles
Ventricle systole: blood pressure builds before ventricles contract, when ventricles contract pressure is high enough to open semilunar valves (pushing blood to lungs and body)
Early distal: atria finish refilling when pressure in atria is greater than ventricles the AV valves will open allowing blood to fill the ventricles

Types of blood vessels and the blood flow, blood pressure and resistance
-
Blood flow, blood pressure and resistance:
total cross sectional area of the body's capillary bed is far greater than any other type of vessels
diameter of capillary is significantly smaller, there are vastly more capillaries
