Lean Six Sigma Measure 01 ((A: Process Tima, B: Cycle Time, C: Lead Time,…
Lean Six Sigma Measure 01
Rolled throughput - the probability that a process with more than one step will produce a defect-free unit.
A: Process Tima
B: Cycle Time
C: Lead Time
D: Takt Time
E: Throughput Yield
F: Rolled Throughput
G: First Pass Yield
First Pass Yield Proportion = (Total Units Produced − Defect Units)/(Total Units).
Process
Level 0: Enterprise or Ecosystem view
High-level enterprise process map
Shows how the process fits into the entire enterprise
Level 1: Macro Process Map—Management Level
High-level process—SIPOC
Shows the high-level steps of the process
Completed during the Define phase
Level 2: Process Map—Worker Level
Detailed process maps
Identifies all the significant steps in a process at the worker level
Shows all of the steps of the process
Can show cycle times and defect rates for each process step and the entire process
Level 3: Micro Process Map—Improvement level
Contains the step-by-step instructions for each process task
Usually included with operating procedures
Gemba Walk: Observation: In-person observation, the core principle of the tool
value-added location: observing where the work is being done
Wastes: The 8 wastes (aka Muda) can be classified as defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilized talent, transportation, inventory, motion, and extra-processing,
Waste is also called Muda in Lean.
