Many soldiers on all sides suffered from PTSD which left those who survived with extremely serious trauma and mental health issues

Trench warfare was one of the primary tactics used. The condition of the trenches was horrible and many soldiers contracted diseases from the animals in the trenches as well as the lack of clean food and or water

Results of the war
Death toll was way more than double the numbers for any other war the U.S was involved in, it was into the 17,000,000s
POST: Germany was left in complete economic despair as a result of the treaty of Versailles which was established without German input
Some of the rules passed: -German military and weaponry was to be downsized
-Germany was to be blamed entirely for the war
-Germany was to pay for all reparations
POST: Most of France was completely destroyed as that was the homefront of the war. Entire cities needed to be rebuilt and there was a lot of economic loss on France's side
POST: Germany lost around 38 mil and France, Italy and Great Britain combined, lost around 82 mil. Germany lost almost half of the other three countries combined

1908: August 1st Germany declared War against Russia... August 3rd Germany declared war against France.... August 4th Britain declared War against Germany
The U.S joined the war in its last years and as a result POST: had less casualties, lost less money and overall did not suffer from the War as much as other countries
