Measuring Migration
In-Migration-people move into the territory for purpose of residential relocation (I/P x 1,000)
Out-Migration-people moving out of the territory (O/P x 1,000)
Net Migration- difference between the # of in-migrants and the # of out-migrants during a given interval (I-O/P x 1,000)
Gross Migration- the sum total of all in-migrations and out-migration during a given interval (I + O/P x 1,000) Total # of migrants is also referred to as "volume"
