WHAT?
It is a diseased caused by elevated cortisol concentration
Also known as Cushing syndrome
CLINICAL SIGN
Polyuria and polydipsia
Weight gain
Endocrine alopecia
Muscle atrophy
'Pot bellied' appearance
Fat pads on neck and shoulders
Lack of energy
Infertility
Thin/darkening skin
Bruising
DIAGNOSIS
Urine cortisol : creatinine ratio
positive: high urine cortisol : creatinine ratio
Low-dose dexamethasone suppression test (LDDST)
positive: the result will show no suppression of cortisol
TREATMENT
By using Trilostane (Vetoryl) after conformation of disease
Need to be closely monitored due to it serious side effect and interaction with other drugs
