Mechanism of action
To interact with the inner cytoplast membrane
Increasing permeability causing death if the bacteria
Disrupt the outer membrane subsequently allows polymxins
Affecting gram-negative bacteria
Act like cationic detergents
Binding to and inactivate endotoxin(LPS)
Group of basic peptide active against most gram-negative bacteria

Asthma
Ear infection that causes blistering
Known hypersensitivity to polymyxin

Minor skin injury
Outer ear infection

Store at 25°C room temperature
Route of administration
Drops 25000 to 3000 units per day 4- 6 hours intervals
