drinking raw water= GROSS, contaminants, parasites, bacteria, etc have not been removed; this can get you sick
down stream effects
drinking raw water= attack on immune system if unwanted organisms/contaminants ingested; you can feel weak/sick
lack of calcium= hypocalcemia; leads to cataracts, dental changes, brain alterations, and osteoporosis
vitamin deficiency (sallow skin): production of collagen can be poor due to lack of vitamin C; skin discoloration and loss of elasticity
iron deficiency= low levels of iron mean low levels of RBCs, resulting in anemia
dehydration= headache, lethargy, constipation
B vitamins and protein low intake= low RBC's, not enough RBC delivery to hair follicles so hair can grow; hair is composed of the protein keratin, w/o enough protein keratin cannot be built
