Post-War achivements
- Germany had to take blame for the War
- Germany had to pay 33 billions dollars in reparations to countries that suffered through the most during WW1
- Germany had to give up their colonies overseas to the League of Nations
- Germany had to limit their men to 100,000 and their navy was limited in aircrafts, submarines, and tanks.
Militarism
--> The belief that a country should maintain a threatening armed force as an emblem of its strength and power

--> The act of preparing a country's armed forces for warfare, with respect to personnel and machinery.
Nationalism
--> A sense of patriotism about ones own country , often accompanied by feelings of superiority over other nationalities or races.
ex.Some of the Countries that could not maintain Nationalism became outed by the others for being weak and unbalanced. There were alliances that were formed to create strength and balance.
Imperialism
-->The policy of exerting territorial control directly, either through military force or negotiation, with the goal amassing an empire
The Alliance System
~The act for which one country surrounds itself with a great amount of alliances to gain more influence and strength. It also created an opportunity for countries to obtain resources from other countries.
ex. Germany was Austria-Hungry’s call for support if there was a fight against Russia. This is a example of how alliances were a key part in European success

Conditions during WW1
Many battles during WW1 were fought in the trenches. the Trenches was constantly flooding and filled with mud and animals like Body Lice and Rats that both carried many diseases that were being be passed through to the soldiers, creating the conditions during warfare much more harsh.
Technological Advances
Technological advances like Tanks, Flamethrowers, Poison gas, Interrupted gear, and Tracer bullets all gave a huge impact on the strength and success over a countries military.
Animals during WW1
Animals played a huge role during WW1, they helped deliver messages back and forth, they also represented a group as a mascot, they most definitely created a huge movement of including animals during Wars.
Role of Women in WW1
The roles of Women during WW1 became very crucial to the stability of a country, because when most men were drafted to fight in the War women were quick to stand and take up the roles/jobs of the men drafted in the War.
ESPIONAGE
The Espionage’s changed the world by creating this new sense of spying, and spies. It also created a new wave of ideas that helped a countries figure gain more intel on another country.
I think that it's sort of crazy how countries would send out inexperienced people to gather intel for the better protection of their country. They sort of put the fate of an inexperienced spy, and there were many problems with this also because of the false intel that the spy was gathering for the country.
