He was rescued at Pescadero North.
He was very active.
He was rescued on 11/17/20.
He was moderatly underweight.
His injuries were that his left rear flipper was missing digits and he had a left eye injury.
He was about 60 kg
Seemed depressed.
Diagnosis
Health Category: Biotoxin, Trauma, Malnutrition
State of nutrition: Emaciated
Weight: 71 kg
Working Diagnosis:Malnutrition, Lacerations, and Domoic acid toxicity.
Symptoms: Lethargic, Puncture wound in forehead, Lacerations.
Treatment
Administer anti-inflammitory medication
Administer anti-oxidant
Administer seizure medication
Radiograph for puncture wound
A nasal test took place to see if the patient had influenza. It came back negative.
Disposition
The gross necropsy stated that Leolion's blood work was abnormal and his meninges was bloody.
Leolion was euthanized on 11/21/18.
Leolion didn't die from anything specific but he was in a lot of pain so they had to put him to sleep.
