Educators - model environmental stewardship in day-to-day activities
Facilitators - help children understand what environmental citizenship really means

GOVERNMENT
Raise awareness and understanding of the link between environment and development
Use eco-friendly resources
Improve condition and productivity of degraded areas
Prevent and control degradation of land, water, vegetation and air
INDIVIDUAL
Follow established procedures
Understand and respect potential hazards
Recycle whenever possible
Properly dispose of materials
SCHOOLS
Introduce the 3 R’s: reduce waste, reuse resources, and recycle materials
Organise tree planting days at school and tell them why trees are important to the environment
Encourage children to switch off all appliances and lights when not in use
Ensure taps are closed properly after you have used them and use water sparingly
