Steps of brainstorming
1) The teacher writes the topic on the board and calls for ideas from the class. Teacher is not to question or evaluate them.
2) The class is allowed to seek for clarification, but not to delete items on the master list.
3) From this new list, each person makes his own list of ideas
4) The students then ranks these ideas in order of importance
5) The whole class then votes on the ideas in order of importance from rank one to five.
6) Ideas receiving the most points are then discussed in full.
