Explanation of my final artwork
The art movement I will refer to is the post-impressionist era
Post-impressionism was an era when artists in the 1890s break away from naturalistic colors of the impressionism era. This includes
Thought of combining Van Gogh's artistic techniques and the work done by Pixar
Above all, this artwork is a hybrid of Van Gogh's brushing techniques and Pixar artworks with nearly the similar settings (France)
In the artwork, Remy (the main character) stands on top of his restaurant, Ratatouille, while looking at the view of Paris
The view of Paris consist of the Eiffel Tower, houses and mountains
What came to my mind was aside doing the techniques of Van Gogh, I wanted to create a hybrid of combining post-impressionism techniques and modern
My own artwork

A5 sketchbook (draft sketch and reference)
Reasons why I chose and made this artwork
I am a huge fan of Disney and Pixar, I was inspired to draw characters from both Disney and Pixar
Van Gogh had a history of suffering a mental breakdown and being addmitted in psychiatric hospitals mostly in France including at Saint-Remy
One notable Pixar film that took place in France (mainly Paris) was Ratatouille. It's a story of a rat (Remy) dreams of becoming a chef like his idol, whose motto "Anyone can cook" inspired others.
With reference to Van Gogh and Ratatouille, since the setting took place in the same country (even though in a different city). I decided to incorporate Van Gogh's artistic techniques into Pixar which the outcome of the artwork will be a hybrid.
My artwork will mainly be Remy looking at the skyscrapers of Paris from his Ratatouille restaurant. The skyscrapers are mainly the Eiffel Tower and houses to make it simple for me to draw. Additionally, mountains and the sun will be in it
Van Gogh is one of the artists admire, brushing techniques were on the notable artwork Starry Night. This inspired me to create an artwork to incorporate into this feature
