        over -involvement
        
        Spending more time than necessary with a patient or other wise showing favouritism can lead to over-involvement with the patient.
        Over-involvement often leads to boundary crossings.
        "Boundary crossing are brief excursions across professional lines of behaviour that may be inadvertent, thoughtless or even purposeful, while attempting to meet a special therapeutic need of the patient.".
        These results in disclosure of information.
        Lisa in the scenario, discloses her personal life, creating an ethical dilemma of "role reversal", so rather than the nurse taking care of the patient the patient now is taking care of the nurse.
        Especially by Lisa admitted that she misses her mother, leads the patient to believe that Lisa is under distress and needs help to cope.

        Mrs Johannsson now has the idea that she is Lisa's acting "mother".
        Disclosing her mother's death was okay, it wasn't necessary in creating a create a positive relationship. In fact this statement further complicated things. as it involves being empathetic ultimately leading to a relationship that is reciprocal in nature. But further disclosure of feeling and ongoing problems was not necessary.
        The other side of this is under-involvement which is synonymous with neglect. This is not the case here.

        The nurse should work within the therapeutic relationship.
        The nurse should avoid situations where he or she has a personal, professional or business relationship with the patient.
        Post-termination relationships are complex because the patient may need additional services. It may be difficult to determine when the nurse–patient relationship is completely terminated.

    - - All these consequences that have mentioned are considered as direct impact. There are more indirect impact for us to discover. We previously in the class learned that the priority of nurses is to reduce the risk of harm to the patients, we should not degrade from our first lesson. This scenario has provided us with a good example of what you shouldn't do when you are a healthcare provider. And always be aware of the boundaries btw healthcare provider and receiver.
