-yes because Hitler had a lot of power over the government and society
-he could make laws and was in charge of the military
-everything was under the control of Hitler because of his unlimited power
-all economic, social, and military policies were driven by Hitler
-anyone who disobeys/opposes his policies had consequences
Was Hitler a strong or weak dictator?
Strong:
-had control over many aspects of government and society
-had power over education, army, economy, security system, media, courts, Civil Service and ideologies
-widespread propaganda: radio, films, and arts; regulated what propaganda could and couldn't be produced
-competition within the party was effective in proving Hitler's power- officials tried to outdo one another to show that they are better than others
Weak:
-lazy and bored sometimes and didn't like to listen to others
-competition caused confusion within the party
-economy didn't recover completely
