        Again God takes ownership by giving his creation a name.When a Husband & Wife are married the wife takes on the name of the husband this shows that she now belongs to the husband.God also later allows and observes Adam the first man to name the animals, which means they belong to us and they are our responsibility.
        
        The Second Day—Sky
        
        Firmament meaning; "to beat or spread out thinly", e.g., the process of making a dish by hammering thin a lump of metal.
        
        It is the owner that gives names to their creation, in this case God gives the name day to the light telling us that it is he that owns all he names.
        
        God explains that it is evening and morning that make up a day, not day and night as we are accustomed.
        
        The First Day—Light
