organelles of a Eukaryotic
Cell.
nucleus
It is found in both animal and plant cells. Its functions are storing genetic material and controlling the cells functions, like motion.
vacuoles/vesicles
Vesicles and vacuoles are membrane-bound sacs that function in storage and transport. They are common in animal cells, but rare in plant cells.
lysosomes
They are ONLY found in animal cells. Their function is digestion, waste and dead cells removal and fertilization.
cytoskeleton
It is found in both animal and plant cells. The cytoskeleton gives a cell its shape, offers support, and facilitates movement
endoplasmic reticulum
It is found in both cells. Its job is to produce proteins and lipids for its membrane and for many other cell components in the cell.
ribosomes
They are found in both animal and plant cells. They are a cell structure that makes protein, which is useful for many of the cells functions.
Golgi apparatus
It transports lipids around the cell, uses protein for secretion and creates lysosomes.
It is found in all plant and animal cells.
chloroplasts
chloroplasts are ONLY found in plant cells. They help with photosynthesis and help plants acquire their green pigment.
mitochondria
I brake down nutrients in order for the cell to use as an energy source, They are found in both animal and plant cells.
cell walls
The cell wall is ONLY on plant cells. It gives the cell structure and makes it stronger by filtering molecules that go in and out of it. It is semi-permeable.
cel membrane
All eukaryotic cells have a cell membrane. In fact, all cells do. Its function is to protect the cell from its surroundings.
