lateral malleolus during movements
at ankle joint

- nerve to the popliteus
- & recurrent genicular nerve
- the cavity of the joint may
communicate with the knee joint
thru politeal bursa
3.inferior TF joint

the bony surfaces are connected by
a v strong inteross ligament
-which forms the chief bond of uninon
betw the lower ends of these bones
this lig is concealed
in front & behind
by the ant & posterior TF ligaments
whose fibers are directed
downwards & laterally
