-
the digestive proccess
It begins before food even hits your tongue, glands in your mouth start to pump up saliva and ones inside your mouth chewing combines saliva turning food into a dough called the bolus.
after 3 hours in the stomach it converts into a liquid called chyme, and it is ready to move to the small instestine.
then the food is transfered to the stomach by the oesophagus, ones in the stomach it disolves braking down its proteins.
In the small intestine it firts passes throw the duodenum, here the enzymes juice separate into fatty acids and glycerol.
the enzymes also carry out the proteins into mino acids and carbohydrates into glucose, this happens in the jejunum and in ileum which are covered by villi.
Villi creates a huge surface area to maximise the molecule absorption and transfer into the bloodcery.
the blood takes this and feed the body and the leftovers of fiber water and dead cells are transferd to the large intestine, the body spread the water to the intestine walls and what is left is a soft mass called stool.
Finally the colon queezes the stool into the rectum, where nerves start to press and tell the body that it is time to expel it .
