- - - - It is best to complete these procedures within 30 days of child's birth to avoid complications
        
        If within 12 months of birth of child
        
        Documents required and procedures
        
        Birth notification from health facility where child born.
        
        Copy of COR ID/photo slip
        
        If no ID/ photoslip then letter from COR with refugee or asylum seeking parent's: a) name b) refugee # c) text from COR explaining that person is refugee d) photo e) country of origin
        
        If one of the parents is Sudani or the family is Muslim then a marriage certificate will be required.
        
        if after 12 months of birth of child or if child born outside of formal healthcare facility
        
        Go to civil registry to check if child is in database, sometimes the registration of birth can happen automatically because the hospital provides the civil registry with the information.
        
        If child is not in system
        
        A) go to RCS with original and copies of ID documents to get letter from COR confirming the parents, date of birth, and location of birth.
        
        If one of the parents is Sudani or the family is Muslim then a marriage certificate will be required.
        
        B) take this letter to the COR window at the main civil registry (the one on McNimir not PoC's local one)
        
        C) civil registry officer will review and approve procedures
        
        D) fee of 127 SDG will be paid

        A) Bring original and copies of ID documents for parents and child
        
        If one of the parents is Sudani or the family is Muslim then a marriage certificate will be required.
        
        B) Civil registry will search system
        
        C) civil registry officer will review and procedures
        
        D) Fees of 127 SDG will be paid

        Bahri/ Sharg Elneel - Khartoum Bahry Public Services Compound, Almazad, North Aagrab Square
        
        Omdurman = Omdurman Public Services Compound, Banat area, west of Omdurman Passports and Immigration office
        
        Khartoum = Khartoum Public Services Compound, Alsajjana, near Gurashi Garden and east from the South Police Station
      - if issues at first point of service go to Civil Roll Department’s main office in Khartoum, MacNimir Street
      - if issues at main office go to UNHCR
